Audi has unveiled the first official pictures and information with the third generation of athletes S3. The model is driven by a 2.0 TFSI 300 hp and 380 Nm, able to sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.1 seconds. All, with an average consumption of 6.9 litres/100 km.
Audi will launch the new S3 in the Motor Show in Paris, completing the motor home stand with the new A3 Sportback. Sports version of the model is built on the same platform MQB already famous and is driven by a 2.0 TFSI engine with five kilograms lighter than the previous unit.
Capapil to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 5.1 seconds, the engine produces no less than 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 380 Nm available between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm. New Audi S3 reaches a top speed of 250 km / h, electronically limited.
The model is equipped as standard with a six-speed manual transmission and quattro system. Customers are offered an optional S-Tronic transmission with seven gears and double-clutch.
Equipped with this transmission, the new S3 sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.4 seconds, while average fuel consumption is 6.9 l/100 km. In contrast, manual transmission, consumption increased slightly, to 7.0 litres/100 km. Compared with previous versions, the new generation is 1.5 liters per cent efficiency combined with 60 kilograms lighter than the model it replaces.
Sport is different from a standard A3 with modified front grille, which shows that mimics aluminum finish, the daytime running lights with LED technology, a new front bumper, mirror caps with the same finish as the grille, a set of side skirts. From equation also includes spoiler and a new rear bumper, which integrates a diffuser and dual exhaust.
S3 has new interior trim finish "aluminum" board clocks gray sport seats and steering wheel, plus habitual logos "S".
